Community Resource Center
Our Community Resource Center or "CRC” is a comfortable and inviting space for students to receive the help they need on school work and create a community of empowered learners. We have adult professional tutors available four days a week that provide strategic academic support for any student. Our students have a space to receive help on schoolwork and a place to relax, eat, and play games. The Center is led by two of our group leaders, DeShawn Mitchell and Aliya Heard.
DeShawn Mitchell
Student Success Coordinator
Hello Everyone, My name is DeShawn Mitchell… I’m a Hillsdale Alum. Unfortunately, when I was a student here everything good about this school I made a point not to participate in. So eventually my grades suffered, My confidence started to wither then my belief in myself did too! Luckily time has been my greatest teacher. I’m now back at Hillsdale to be the person I needed when I was a student trying to simply figure it out!
