ETA Programs

Mentor Groups

Students meet with a trained adult mentor in a small affinity group (based on grade, gender, and similar backgrounds) once a week for one hour, thirty times over the course of the year. Students meet to focus on their social and emotional needs and practice stress reduction.

Careers: Job and Internship Placements

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors meet with our Careers Coordinator for interview coaching, resume building, and opportunities to interview with community partner businesses for summer internships or jobs. The goal is to connect any interested student with a job in the community or an internship going into their senior year.

The main purpose of the garden is to provide additional produce for the Hillsdale Peace Pantry, our emergency food drive-thru that serves around 150 school families every week. Now we can add organic fruits and vegetables harvested from our very own garden to the food boxes. The Community Garden has produced over 3000 pounds of fresh produce for ETA families.

ETA provides support to students in pivotal transitions in their academic career: the transition into and out of high school. The Bridge to Bridge program starts ETA Mentor Groups in our feeder middle schools. Our Bridge to Bridge Coordinator supports students from middle school to ninth grade and from twelfth grade into their college, career, or military path.

Students can choose to participate in enrichment activities that help build self-confidence and self-worth. ETA offers a range of creative, athletic, and business activities to students.

The Peace Pantry has been serving Hillsdale families with food insecurity since May 2019. In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, we currently provide over 150 Hillsdale and Bridge families with a bag of organic produce, non-perishable foods, and a bag of hygiene products every Friday.

In August 2023, we opened the Hillsdale Community Closet as an additional level of support to community members in need. The Closet offers seasonal clothing and essential items at no cost to eligible students and their families.
