Marissa is a strategic leader specializing in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on driving operational excellence and organizational health. She excels at aligning complex business objectives with people-first strategies, ensuring that top-level metrics support both performance and culture. Marissa has extensive experience in defining core corporate policies and structuring impactful team development initiatives and strategic planning. Passionate about fostering a cohesive work environment, she actively leverages focus group feedback to refine engagement and retention strategies. Through her leadership, Marissa bridges the gap between technical operations and human capital, creating resilient and high-performing teams. Marissa has worked in hardware operations at Google for 18 years, currently serving as a Chief of Staff / Biz Ops Lead for an Integrated Planning team within Google Cloud. Prior to Google, she worked in World Wide Operations for Sun Microsystems from 2000-2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. Marissa lives in Redwood City with her husband and daughter Cecilia. She is a board member of her PTO and an Assistant Troop Leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. Marissa also co-leads the Bay Area Community Engagement Committee for her organization at Google

During her undergraduate education she interned at Informix, working on developing their internal web site and training material for new members.

From 2000 to 2006 she worked at Sun Microsystems in World Wide Operations in Newark, California. There, she was an Industrial Engineer for their manufacturing floor in Newark focusing on their reverse engineering and RMA processes, a Capacity Planner, a program manager for their internal Benchmarking and Strategy Organization and a Supply Base Development manager focusing on Power Supplies and Paint and Plastics.

 During Marissa’s time at UCLA she interned at Google (was recruited by some co-workers at Sun), then she was hired on full time after her program. Marissa has been in the Capacity Development / Supply Chain organization the entire time – and amongst her roles she has done Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Asset Management/Sox Compliance, Capacity Delivery for their Data Center Upgrades and Business Operations / Chief of Staff (for the last 5 years). During her tenure at Google Marissa has been both a manager of teams and an Individual Contributor.

She is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and has her APICs Certification in Supply Chain and most recently was certified in the Working Genius.
